Federally Inspected Springfield
Here we present a smoothbore musket made from Springfield Model 1861 parts. The bore was reamed smooth long ago and is dark with age. The lock and breech are dated “1864”. Barrel is view and proof marked. Parts such as the trigger, percussion nipple bolster, etc. are absent.
