I believe this is the only deluxe I have ever seen with a 36 inch barrel. It looks to be a fine gun. It letters to a "T" with 36 inch barrel, octagon, casehardened, set trigger, checkered pistol grip stock and Lyman sights. Includes a folding tang sight, early sporting flat top rear sight and Lyman front sight. The pistol grip checkered deluxe grade wood has a few mars and dings. Some loss of varnish in the grip area. XXX grade wood with a rifle style buttplate. Some wear to the checkering on the forearm but no splits or cracks. Overall metal is very nice with sharp corners and excellent markings. Sometimes people take these long barrel guns apart and raise havoc with the barrel band keeper but this barrel and mag show no signs of abuse. This gun has two retaining rings for the magazine tube. The action case colors have turned a silver color but case color is vivid in protected areas. Correct dust cover and very nice bore. Comes complete with Factory Letter and other information on it. One of a kind gun! I have not seen another. The Winchester 1873 book by Gordon lists only 8 with a 36 inch barrel and only 1 in 32 WCF! A true investment grade gun!
