This is very nice Colt Bisley revolver that was manufactured in 1907 that is chambered in the desirable "44 Russian and 44 S&W Special" caliber.with wood grips, and a 4 3/4" barrel. Comes with leather holster stamped A.W. Briley/Maker/Austin. Tex.
The barrel roll-stamped with the one-line Colt legend "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", with the left side roll stamped "RUSSIAN AND/S &W SPECIAL 44".
The left side of the frame is roll-stamped with the Colt two line, three date patent markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt.
The serial number (289700) is stamped on the underside of the frame and it has another matching serial number (289700) stamped under the front trigger guard and back straps under the grip panel.
The inside of the loading gate is stamped with the assembly number "584". The left front trigger guard bow is stamped "Triangle/VP" proofmark. The left rear tigger guard bow is stamped T.

BORE: Bright with crisp rifling
ASSESSMENT: This gun is one clean shooter, mechanically sound, locks up tight, with very light drag line. This gun does not look like it was fired very often. Comes with leather holster stamped A.W. Briley/Maker/Austin. Tex
