This listing is for a mint, unfired Colt Police Positive 38 Special that was built by Colt for a small town in Arkanses and was presented to their police chief upon his retirement.
The chief never fired it, it has been in a closet for many years and his family/heirs are now wishing to sell it.
It is one-of-a-kind by the finish, being presentation-grade.
Hammer & trigger are engine turned, flutes in cylinder are bright, it is a real beauty to behold. I see no marks nor scars of any kind, it is in new condition.
There is no box but revolver speaks for itself.
A search of Colt serial numbers show it to be a 1926 year of manufacture.
