"Just about mint" is this collector grade 1981 Savage 99C Series A 7mm-08 Remington (serial #D740508), first year production. It features a Monte Carlo stock, hand cut checkering, factory rubber recoil pad and sling studs with 22" barrel and original factory front sight hood, which are usually lost or discarded over time. This "hardest to find" production 99 remains in unfired condition and is right up near the top for being a rare caliber, highly sought after. If you have been waiting for a really nice 7mm-08 to call your own, I think you have just found it. Look at all the pictures to see that you had better not pass this one up.
