Description:
This an excellent condition pre 1898 Antique Austrian Underlever Back Action Side by Side 16 Ga hammer shotgun by an individual maker Ant. Mulhcz as inlaid in gold on the rib at the breech. Chambers are 2&9/16 inches in length and bores are about good. Damascus Barrels are 30 inches in length. Exterior finish wood and metal is very good to excellent and totally original. Trigger guard is also engraved and partially made of horn (easier on the fingers in the very cold). This shotgun is elaborately engraved with wonderful game scenes and is marked with a "2" on the barrels and top tang indicatiing it is one of a pair of guns. Buttstock is excellent and of high quality European walnut. Obviously one of a pair made for a person of means. Hammers and triggers function as they should. Action is tight. Photos show all. Just came in from an estate.
