Description:
Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are mighty proud to offer this dainty and ornate example of a WC Scott boxlock ejector double. Made in the year of our Lord 1911, she is in good condition for being 109 years old. The blue is thinning, but appears to be original. The engraving and stampings are sharp and clear, and the checkering is well defined. She locks up tight, and the lever resides well to the right of center. The horn butt plate has insect damage, but the nicely engraved screws are still in time. The bores of the 28 inch tubes are great, and are choked cylinder and improved cylinder. Ejectors toss the empties. The LOP of the well figured walnut is 13 inches, with drops of 1 3/8 and 2 1/4 inches. She tips the scales at just under 5 1/4 pounds, making this the lightest 20 bore we have ever handled. Personally, I believe double was fit to a woman or a boy, and that the chokes and LOP are original. She is a pleasure to carry and point, and an all day hunt wouldn't wear you out. I must say that the photos do not do this shotgun justice, and she looks much better in person. The case is in very good condition, and nickel snap caps are included. If you have been looking for the right English double, but want the added clout of a small bore ejector gun, then look no further.
