Description:
Mounties are arguably the most attractive of Marlins very nice series and variations of the beautiful little take down 22's. The are characterized by 20" barrel ,full lenght mag tube and straight rather than pistol grip butt stock. This is one of the nicest of the many we have had, attractive dark walnut stock set, terrific retained highly polished blue on receiver and barrel and it still has the trademark Marlin bullsey on buttstock often missing but this one is still in place. A handy Williams receive sight has been installed in factory holes (rear site removed so that peep sight could be effectively used), peeps are a vast improvment over open sights for those who are unfamiliar with them.
Top of receiver is factory drilled and taped should one wisht to use a scope.
There are a few handling marks but this gem is as nice as it could be for a gun that is over 60 yrs old. (serial number indicates 1957, 1958)
Even the front sight hood is still in place!
