The Old Model (3-Screw Frame) 6 1/2 inch barrel Ruger Super Blackhawk's were manufactured in the 1966 time frame in the serial number range 24300 to 27200. This Super Blackhawk, serial number 24499, comes with a factory letter attesting to its having been shipped in September 1966 with the 6 1/2 inch barrel. It is also fitted with a square-back trigger guard, adjustable rear sight, non-fluted cylinder, smooth walnut grips with Ruger Black Eagle medallions, wide spur hammer, is blue finished, and chambered in .44 Magnum. The gun is in excellent original condition, retaining 98% of its original blue finish, with thinning at the muzzle of the barrel, foreward edge of the cylinder, drag line on the cylinder, and some minor thinning on some of the sharp edges of the frame. The bore looks like new and the action functions perfectly. Comes with its original box, does not number to the gun, and instructions and parts list.
