I have decided to sell this Browning Superposed 12GA Lightning out of my personal collection. I bought this gun from a friend at least 35 years ago and held onto it because I thought at some point I would use it which I never have with the exception of one round of skeet probably 10 years ago. I kept this gun because it has 28 inch barrels and Cylinder .001 and Improved Cylinder .011 chokes. My friend wanted 28 inch barrels with open chokes, so he bought this gun new with modified and full chokes and sent it back to Browning to have the chokes opened and restamped. This is a 1966 Superposed round knob, short tang. These is no salt problem with this gun and it is totally original in every detail. The gun was originally purchased as a woodcock gun and it would be perfect for that, but would also be great for Grouse or Quail or skeet gun. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 7/16 X 14 3/8 over the original Browning butt plate with neutral cast and great blonde colored wood. As the pictures show there are a few light marks in the stock from my friend using it and there is some crazing of the original finish as Brownings so often do. Original bluing is excellent with almost no wear. Top lever still way right of center with super tight lock up. Weight of this gun is 7 pounds 5 ounces.
