GOLD INLAID Antique French FLINTLOCK Belt Pistol
Gorgeous Little Flintlock Pistol!
Here we present an antique French Gold Inlaid Flintlock Pistol, made circa the early 19th Century. This large bored pistol would have been intended for use as a self-defense firearm. It is relatively small, being able to fit into a large pocket or in a belt. Its barrel is a short 4-1/8 inches in length but features a gaping .49 caliber bore. Its octagonal barrel is highlighted with floral and line patterns filled with gold. The stock is finely checkered with a tightly fitting cap. It is equipped with a solid steel ramrod. This old flintlock is in very good condition and has weathered the test of time, considering it is pushing 200 years in age.
The overall condition is very good. The bore is smooth and dark and in good condition. The action remains strong.
