Description:
NEW LOWER PRICE FOR QUICK SALE! Here is a custom rifle built by James A Kobe, a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. Members are recognized as the finest American gun builders and this rifle is a perfect example! All information is from the original customer's build sheet.  The rifle is chambered in 7mm-08 with a Leupold 2-7X33mm scope with duplex reticle in Talley QD mounts. It has a quarter rib rear sight and wrap around shrouded front sight as found in the finest African bolt action rifles. It has a custom Remington 700 short action that has integral scope bases machined into it accepting 11mm dovetail Talley QD rings. The bolt is expertly jeweled and the bolt handle has two panel checkering. The Shilen barrel is hand lapped and 22 inches. The one piece steel bottom metal is PM Enterprises.  All metal in a classy soft matte blue finish. Case colored three position safety. Trigger breaks like a glass rod at around 2 pounds. Rifle shoots at just under one inch at 100 yards from a rest.  Now about the stock! This rifle sports one of the finest pieces of California English walnut that I have ever seen in my 40 years of collecting. It has a shadowline cheekpiece, a skeleton grip cap, inletted swivels, a true ebony forend, wrap around forearm checkering, wrap around grip checkering, and a Decelerator one inch recoil pad. LOP is 13.75 inches. All checkering is 24 LPI. This rifle is a pleasure to hold and shoot. She is slim with not an ounce of fat on her.! The rifle is in excellent plus condition with only one small dent in the forearm checkering and a couple of vertical light scratches on the left side from taking in and out of the safe. Both can be seen in the pictures. Rifle weighs at just under 8 lbs on my bathroom scale. This is a fine example of craftsmenship that is being lost in our country. Truly a custon rifle in all sense of the word. Must ship to a valid FFL. No sales outside the US. California sales require a $50 upcharge as that is what my FFL dealer charges to ship there. Only payment form accepted are USPS money orders. Shipping is $40. Insurance is optional and paid by the Buyer. Highy recommended.Own a piece of American's finest craftsmenship!
