Description:
This is a Winchester 1873 2nd Model short carbine with a 15 inch barrel in caliber 44-40 with a factory letter. The stock is good with some handling marks. The forearm on the right side has a sliver out of the wood near the receiver and a crack anterior to the barrel band. The left side has a crack behind and anterior to the band. The metal is mostly a gray patina. The barrel marks are cleaned off. The bore is dark with some pitting and quite strong rifling. There is a trapdoor in the butt. The sights appear to be original.
