Manufactured in 1968, this High Standard Model DM-101 Derringer is chambered in .22 Magnum and comes complete with the original maroon factory case. This litttle hammerless pistol features two stacked 3.5" inch barrels, a blued factory finish on the steel parts, a black anodized finish on the grip frame, a case-colored trigger, and white plastic grips. Designed as a concealed carry personal defense weapon, the DM-101 proved to be an excellent design, reliable and easily concealable. This particular example is in very good overall condition, with the only real deduction coming from a lightly scratched set of the initials "CR" in the anodized black finish on the left side of the gun above the grip. These could probably be hidden easily with the proper application of black paint to match the anodizing if the new owner so chooses. The factory bluing on the steel barrel assembly rates 98% plus, and the 2 bores are in mint condition. The color case hardened trigger is in beautiful shape, showing bright colors with no fading or finish wear. The factory white plastic grips are in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. Both grip panels are tight to the gun with no wiggle. This High Standard is in perfect mechanical condition, and should fire just as reliably today as the day it left the factory over 50 years ago. This DM-101 comes complete with the original maroon colored hard case with a flip-up lid which is in good condition overall. The red felt lining is bright and clean, and the original gold factory sticker is still in-place. If you have been looking for one of these great little .22 magnum derringers here is your chance to get a clean example for a great price. This High Standard is C&R eligible.
