Description:
Serial #144802, .45 Colt, 5 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few faint spots of freckling within the grooves. This revolver was built in 1917 and retains about 85-90% of the original blue finish that has silvered along the high edges and projections, a moderate turn-ring on the cylinder, and brown freckling on the gripstraps. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of their original blue finish, and the checkered hard rubber grips are in fine condition with only some mild flattening of the points, and a few scattered handling blemishes. The backstrap is stamped with a large Royal North West Mounted Police issue stamp: “RNWMP 1450", and a further “MP" stamp at the heel of the butt. This is a splendid Mounted Police Colt, in very good-fine condition, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
