PRE-WAR GOVT ISSUE COLT U.S. 1911 UPGRADE TO 1911-A1 .45ACP PISTOL SHIPPED TO BROOKLYN NAVY YARD IN 1918. Serial number on frame(heart shaped under grips) "441,4XX" manufactured in 1913 and shipped to the Navy Yard, Brooklyn in 1918 within the USMC range. Blued frame with "S17" under screaming eagle head with "28" stamped twice on left bow of triggerguard. "United States Property" on left side of frame and just serial number on right. Blue fading to patina. Arsenal parkerized frame and A1 upgrade features. Two piece guide rod with red lock-tite applied. USGI plastic grips. "HS" on barrel. Factory magazine with two line "Colt/45 Auto" on base.
