Description:
This is a rare second variation rifle made only from 1939 to 1941. Serial is B-8XX. The rifle retains most of the original blue and very vivid case colors. It has a proper period Weaver 29-S Special scope with the correct T5 side mount. Bore is excellent and action is crisp. Wood has a few nicks and dings consistant with age. I think the stock has had the pistol grip checkerd after the fact. It is well done, but not correct and the forearm is not checkered. Rifle has a Marbles tang sight and a King front. Sling swivels had been added at some point. This is a nice condition Marlin that came to me from the original family after many years in their collection. Please contact me with any questions.
