This little handsome Colt Frontier Scout was manufactured in 1964 to commemorate the Nevada Statehood Centennial and comes complete with the original wooden factory display case and paperwork. It features a factory two-tone finish, with a gloss blue finish on the steel parts and a bright nickel finish on the grip frame, hammer, and trigger. The grips are faux Mother of Pearl with silver Rampant Colt medallions in both sides. This example is serial number 2994NS and it is in excellent all-original condition. It may have had one full cylinder fired thru it but has been very well cared-for. As you can see from the pictures, the gun is super clean and very attractive. The blue finish rates 98% with just a few tiny spots of finish wear only visible under close inspection. The anodized black frame finish rates 99% like-new, while the factory nickel finish on the grip frame, trigger, and hammer are also minty like-new. The original faux MOP grips are in superb condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. They are both perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with no wiggle. The bore in the 4.75" inch barrel is mirror-bright and clean, and the six cylinder bores are equally as nice. The action on this Colt is very smooth and perfectly "in time". All of the controls are in perfect working order. As mentioned previously, this Nevade Centennial comes with the original factory display case and paperwork. The case is in good condition overall but does show some handling and storage wear on the exterior. The hinges and hardware are in excellent condition, and the interior linings are 100% intact but do show some age patina. The paperwork that comes with this Colt is pictured in the listing and includes the little plastic bag it shipped in. If you have been looking for a handsome and well-made little .22 revolver to add to your collection as an investment or shooter, this 1964 vintage Colt Frontier Scout would be a great choice.
