Description:
This is a very robust, and well made Colt SAA, model 1873 copy, made in Belgian or Spain in the 1880's. Has a beautiful nickel plated finish of which is almost entirely intact! Also has very deep "Scroll" and Punch dot engraving. Has a 7.5" barrel with a very good bore. It is chambered for the .44 RUSSIAN caliber.The action is strong, indexes properly and has all four "clicks". The top of the barrel is marked, "SPRINGHEAD V.K.NEW-YORK.". On the left side of the barrel is marked, "QUINTANA BROTHERS IMPORTERS TO MEXICO". Serial number is marked #5360, on the trigger guard and the last 3 numbers of the serial number is found on the frame,back strap, loading gate, trigger and back of the cylinder. There is an assembly number #187 and an "X" and a "*" in frame under grip panels. two piece grip panels have illedgible pencil markings on back. The only information I could find is that the Quintana Brothers had a gun shop and were importers in Mexico. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
