All original with carved walnut stock with finely scroll engraved brass mounts and sliding brass mounted wood cover patch box. All original including all the lock parts and the windage and elevation adjustable tang sight. Very good plus condition with crisp metal with soft grey patina. Stock very good with light wear and old crack beneath the lock plate to the side plate. Working order and very nice bore. The Roth family of makers was largely centered in Switzerland with a branch in Austria. A George Roth is also listed as a gunmaker in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania in the early 1800’s. Very nice and quite ornate example at a reasonable price. SOLD Antique: Yes |
