Description:
Cogswell & Harrison Best Quality Boxlock Scaled Frame .410, with 26" barrels. Manufactured between 1935-1936, this fine English firearm is built on a scaled frame .410 and weighs exactly 4 Lbs. 4 Oz. Barrels have been re-blacked and show pitting (both inside and out) from a neglected past. The receiver has been polished and also shows signs of pitting. The stock is a straight English grip with an extended tang; the butt is checkered. Action and lock-up is tight and the barrels and action are within proof. This is a rare and highly collectible firearm from London's past. A very few shotguns were ever built on a scaled frame in a .410 and despite research efforts of both ourselves and the previous owner of this firearm, it has proven to be unmentioned in the history books. This gun retains 50% condition.
