Description:
This is a 1916 model Colt 1911 Pistol in 45 ACP caliber. The gun is in very good condition with all markings and stampings clear and bold. The serial number is C 38283. Mechanically the gun is perfect with all original parts and a clean bright bore. The finish is smooth with very minor pitting along the top of the slide. Almost all of the original finish worn off and the gun presents a bright smooth finish on all surfaces with the exception of those areas that are not subject to wear from handling, such as the top surface of the grip safety and the protected surfaces of the trigger. The original walnujt girps are worn, but still show full checkeering over the surface of both grip panels. The clip, although not numbered to the gun, is of the correct design.
