Payment Types Accepted: personal check, bank check Description: REDUCED PRICE Model 1855 percussion pistol-carbine; .58 caliber, lockplate has MAYNARD tape priming system, marked U.S. over Springfield, with date "1856" (date of manufacture) on lockplate. 12" round barrel, single barrel band, marked with "P", "V" and eagle's head, blade front sight, two leaf folding rear sight, model number "1855" stamped on receiver tang, sling swivels attached at barrel band and at tail of butt stock, self-contaned swivel ramrod, Shoulder stock marked "U S" on top of brass butt plate. Maynard priming system all parts are mechanically functional. Stock in joined to pistol by a thumb screw ( does not fully tighten resulting in slightly loose stock - can be shimmed) With shoulder stock 28.5" overall length, A total of only 4000 guns were made circa 1855 - 1857.
