The High Standard Model-HB Second Model was made from 1948 to 1949. The pistols were fitted with interchangeable 4 1/2 or 6 3/4 inch barrel, external hammer, monogrammed black checkered plastic grips, fixed sights, external safety lever, 10 shot magazine, slide hold-open button, blue finished, and chambered in .22 LR. This numbers matching (frame and slide), 1948 vintage, Model-HB is as described and is fitted with a 4 1/2 inch barrel. The pistol is in excellent original condition, retaining 95% of its original blue finish, with most minor thinning on the front and back-straps of the grip and the muzzle of the barrel The right grip panel is cracked, and except for this damge, the grips would be in very fine condition, with minimal wear. The bore is excellent and the action is tight and functions perfectly. An extremely nice example of its type. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
