Description:
Here is a very nice Drilling by Fortuna Suhl produced in East Germany (GDR) in 1971. It is a combination double barrel 16 gauge shotgun with a 7x65mm rimmed rifle barrel underneath. The right barrel has been factory fitted with a Kreighoff adapter enabling the firing of .22 magnum cartridges. The adapter is quick removable by turning a single screw. The wood has excellent color with well defined checkering throughout. The only blemish is found on the butt stock where four dings have been filled in with wood putty. The butt stock also comes with a nicely carved cheek rest. Mounted on the solid rib is a Carl Zeiss 6x42 Diatal-D optic. The optic is a traditional single main post with two horizon lines. The length of pull is 13 1/2 inches from the first trigger and 12 1/2 from the second. The drop at the heel is 2 1/2 inches. Barrel length is 24 7/8.
