Here is a nice German P08 Luger from World War 1. The pistol is all-matching except for the magazine and sideplate. It still retains most of its original bluing, rating 80%+/-, showing normal wear and holster wear for a pistol of its age and likely combat history ( many of these were used by the German military in both World Wars). As you can see from the pictures, the gun shows some minor spots of corrosion but does not have any real eyesores. Mechanically this pistol is 100% sound with a nice bore, showing sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel. One minor problem is the hold-open has broken off at some point in it's life span. This does not effect safe operation of the firearm, but it will no longer lock in the open postion when the last round is fired or the toggles are pulled back on an empty magazine. This part can be replaced easily by the new owner if he/she chooses with several sources available online for parts. All of the Imperial German and DWM factory proof marks are clean and visible. The original wood grips on this pistol are in good shape overall, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major damage. Both grips are numbered to this gun, tight to the frame with no wiggle, and show wear consistent with the rest of the gun. This DWM Luger comes with one original WW1 production wood-bottom magazine in good overall condition. While this magazine is not serial numbered to this gun it is an original magazine and should function perfectly. This is a great Luger for someone who wants one that they can shoot without harming it's value, while still having a historically important and original piece.
