If you have been looking for a "collector grade" vintage Sako rifle for your collection, here it is! This Stoeger-imported Sako Deluxe AV rifle in .270 Winchester is unfired and in mint condition. It is as nice of a Sako Deluxe as you will find, having spent it's entire life in storage since new. The glossy bright blue factory finish rates 99%, and the bore is flat-out pristine with perfect rifling and no imperfections. The engraved antelope head and ivy on the floorplate and triggerguard are in perfect shape. The original factory stock is beautiful with lots of contrasting grain and figure showing, with perfect, crisp, factory skip-line checkering and a bright, flawless factory clear coat. The factory-installed Sako-branded recoil pad is in like-new condition, the factory sling swivel studs are in excellent condition, and the forend tip and pistol grip cap are in excellent condition and appear seamless to the stock. The action on this Sako is extremely smooth, slick, and really has to be felt to truly be appreciated. The bolt turns into battery smoothly and locks up precisely. As you can see from the picture provided of the chamber area with the bolt open, the bolt raceways still look factory-new with no visible finish wear. All of the controls are on this rifle are in perfect working order, like it left the factory yesterday. This Sako is a no-excuses beauty, displaying the top-tier build quality and extreme attention to fit and finish that vintage Sakos are well-known for. It would be all but impossible to upgrade from this one.
