Description:
Colt 1836 36cal. Texas Patterson revolver. This is a very old reproduction. The finish is worn and has an overall patina. The barrel is 9" in length. Bore is in very good condition. The early reproduction revolvers had the Colt address on them until Colt instructed the importers and manufacturers that they could not use their name. Have owned this revolver for many years. Used to shoot it! This old revolvers shoots quite well. Had a loading tool to seat the round balls into the cylinder chambers. The mechanism is still tight: the cylinder rotates, indexes, and locks up well. Was part of my early revolver collection. Just could not spend the $150,000 for an original Colt Patterson revolver. This gun filled the gap in the collection.
