Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 629-6, Performance Center, .44 magnum, double-action revolver, with 2.6-inch barrel, unfluted cylinder, original wood grips, open adjustable rear sight, fix front sight blade, and an integrated locking system in the frame, with two keys.  The overall length of the gun is 7.6 inches, and its unloaded weight is 37.44 ounces.  Accessories include the original box, Safety and Instruction Manual, product registration card, factory provided fired casing, and cable lock with two keys still in the package.

The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent.  I do not call anything 100 percent if it is not new in the box.  The metal is perfect, as are the stocks.  The checkering is deep and crisp, with no wear.  The gun has obviously been fired a few times, as is evidenced by the carbon on the front of the cylinder.  However, the cylinder lock ring is very light, and the front of the cylinder shows one or two chambers with no (or almost no) carbon stain, which is almost impossible to entirely remove once a revolver has been fired.  See the photos of the cylinder ring and the front of the cylinder.  These factors indicate that the gun has been fired very little.  The leather holster has some scratches on the front.  Aside from this, however, the leather is supple and has no cracks from dryness.  The stitching is strong and complete, with no broken threads.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.  The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($30) and insurance, if desired.  Insurance for the full value of the gun would be $13 ($4.60 for the first $300 of insurance, plus $8.40 ($1.20 for each additional $100 of insurance (rounded up) above the first $300 dollars)).  I will accept a personal check, but will hold the gun until it clears.  I will also accept USPS money order, which I do not have to hold, as it clears immediately.  I will accept other type money orders, but will hold gun until they clear.  Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall.
