Description:
Serial #84919, .22 LR, 19 1/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a nice, Browning-designed, T/D rifle that has retained 70–75% of the original blue finish with minor silvering on the edges and projections, as well as areas of plum-brown fading on the barrel and receiver. The original iron sights are still present, and the lock-up is good, but there is a bit of lateral play when the barrel is locked in place. The checkered walnut forend and buttstock are in very good shape with some minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the original varnish, including a lateral bruise on the left side of the butt near the toe. The steel, “REMINGTON / UMC" marked buttplate is in good shape, but is mostly mottled gray metal. This is a nice example of a great little .22 semi-auto Remington, and rates very good plus overall.
