NOTE: I have revised the Photo's in this ad to give better views of this fine gun, Most assuredly, the gun was made by W&C. Scott in the late "twenties". The gun is patterned after the very popular Churchill Model XXV (which is named after the 25 inch barrels. As most collectors know The Army & Navy Cooperative never made any guns. Their guns and acceso, ries were made by other firms, in this case most likely W&C. Scott & Sons. The gun retains 90% or more of all its original finishes. Case coloring is nearly 100% (Somewhat faded, vivid in protected areas. Blueing on barrels is 98%. some thinning in the usual spots (floor plate & trigger guard.) Wood & finish are 98% with minor handling marks. Bores are perfect! Gun is Tight on the face. Ejectors function as new. Striated grooved buttstock. Late Anson style forend release. Right barrel choked improved cvl. Left barrel is improved modified, Chambers are the original 2 & 1/2 inches. I recommend RST 2&1/2 shotshell in this gun if you plan on shooting the gun, Even though the gun is like new, it was intended for low pressure loads. The gun has been Re-Nitro proofed at 2&1/2 with 1 & 1/8th. ounces of shot. 75% coverage of fine scroll engraving. (way above average This would make a perfect woodcock or grouse gun. The quality of this guns equals that of any fine boxlock that was made. If it had one of the big names on it like Purdey and H&H it would fetch double my asking price. (for reference, both of those firms did make boxlocks) Price is PRICED Reduced To $2500.00 Firm. Shipping is $50.
