Arisaka type 99 short rifle with a 26" barrel,and chrome lined bore with an averge bore rifloing and corrosion down in the grooves from corrosive wartime primers,.. Has no MUM, and no writings.MAade at Toyo Kogyo Arsenal SN 14661. Matching Bolt has number 661 , as does the extractor..Stock has numerous wartime dings, and dents, each tell a story. Medal is mostly fading blue, with floor-plate showing the most wear, and more speckling. Comes with what apppears to be a fabric sling , stiched together during wartime use. Action works good,but stiff from non use. and would make a good collectible addition to ones collection. Comes with rear sight without aircraft ears.
