This is a Colt Model 2 Root 28 cal. #98xx mfg. 1856. Mostly a grey patina with traces of original blue. Cylinder scene and barrel address are very good. Grips are the weak point. They fit perfect and retain most of their varnishbut there is a small chip out at bottom front and a larger one inheal of right front. Other than the grips, this is a crisp Root.
