Description:
Kentucky Percussion Pistol. Approximately .31 caliber Lockmarked H+J Kirkman. (They are listed as lock makers in Nashville Tennessee. A John Kirkman is also listed as a lock maker for Flintlock and percussion guns. Barrel length 6” and overall length is 10”. Barrel has a rear sight and the front sight is a dovetail with brass blade. Trigger guard, nose cap and ramrod pipe are of brass. Muzzle has a circle of a “X and O” on the face of the muzzle. This pistol is an unusual design and we’re not sure of its age.
