British Shotgun with Damascus Twist Barrels!
Here we present an antique Ja’s Manton Side by Side Hammer Shotgun in 10 Gauge, made circa 1900. The locks are marked “JAS MANTON & CO.” The top of the barrels is marked “JAS MANTON SUPERIOR QUALITY”. The number “44” is stamped under the barrel on the frame. This would have made a great gun for waterfowl and it is very nicely preserved.
The overall condition is near fine. The markings are clear and legible. The bores are smooth and bright. The action on this shotgun is strong and tight. Great Damascene twist remaining.
