Description:
This is the nicest First Generation SAA Colt I've handled. The bluing is thinning in spots but still there and the case-hardening outlines are still visible. The action and the bore are perfect. As this is a black powder era Colt the bore condition is amazing. This was not a Colt that spent a lot of holster time riding the range. The accompanying letter says it was shipped to Simmons Hardware in St Louis in 1891. It looks like a well-cared for 120-25 year-old Colt. First Gen. grips are original to the gun and in very nice condition.
