Description:
This is a very lightly-used Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk manufactured in 1999. This Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum single-action revolver features a gloss blue factory finish, a 7.5" inch barrel, factory adjustable target-style sights, a 6-shot unfluted cylinder, and smooth American Walnut grips with black and silver Ruger medallions. The factory blue finish on this Ruger rates 93 to 95%, with deductions for a faint drag-line on the cylinder, some minor finish wear on the grip straps and high-edges, and some small handling/storage marks. As you can see from the pictures, none of these deductions do much to detract from the clean overall look of this gun. The polished hammer sides and trigger sides are bright with minimal staining, and all of the factory stampings are clean and crisp. The bore in the 7.5" inch barrel is mirror-bright and in perfect condition. The rifling still shows sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel and there are no visible imperfections. The six chambers in the cylinder are equally as clean. The original factory grips are in great shape, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/dents. Both grip panels are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with no wiggle. The action on this Ruger is exceptionally smooth and perfectly precise. It is "in time" whether you work it fast or slow, and the trigger breaks nicely with a light pull. This New Model Super Blackhawk should be an excellent shooter, just as accurate and reliable as it was the day it left the factory 20 plus years ago. If you have been looking for a nice, clean New Model Super Blackhawk for your collection this 1999 model would be a great choice at a great price.
