Description:
This is a Colt Government Model Mark IV Series 70 .45 automatic that was made to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the United States Customs Service. This pistol features gold etched engraving on both sides of the slide. The left side has scroll work and depicts a banner with the Customs badge and the inscriptions "U.S. Customs Special Agent", "Colt Government Model .45 Cal" and "1789-1989". The right side has more scroll work and another banner that is marked in a similar manner but also carries the Treasury seal. The stocks are special smooth rosewood with brass U.S. Customs medallions. Condition is excellent. It comes with a Colt factory box and lockable walnut display case. The display case has blue velvet lining and a special brass plate marked "U.S. CUSTOMS SPECIAL AGENT". The interior has a spot for a reduced scale U.S. Customs badge which is included. The pistol and badge both carry the same number USC 198. Also included the Colt owner's manual and miscellaneous paperwork.
