Description:
Custer range trap door carbine in 18000 serial range. Serial number: 18495. All the correct features to be a Custer gun, ie... long wrist and solid plate with no trap. There's a hairline crack in the stock. The gun is a two click tumbler. Rear sight, has a square base plate and ladder sight  graduated to 1,200 yards. 9 carbines in this range have been authinicated by case forensics as Custer Battle guns. Stock has an old repair that is unnoticable. By Indian oral tradition, this carbine came off the Northern Cheyene resorvation in Montana in a trade between an indian and a wagon master named R. Boie in 1890.
