SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1917 / 1937 BRAZILIAN CONTRACT .45 ACP HAND EJECTOR REVOLVER. 5 ½” barrel. Serial numbered "206XXX" and all matching. Made under contract to the Brazilian Army and having the Brazilian Crest on the frame above their model date “1937”. Good to very good overall and all original except grips which are correct to this model and period of use but serial numbered to other gun(Importer often swapped out grips for better ones-grips excellent). Original lanyard ring presentThe importer "IA Co. SAC Ca." is stamped under barrel on flat. Shows use and storage wear and light scratches with approximately 80% of the original factory blue which says a lot considering these were meant for the Brazilian Army. One of approx 25,000 contracted by Smith & Wesson in 1937. It is, at its's heart, a factory 1917 just ordered by Brazil so form and function are the same as any S&W 1917 out there. In perfect tight working order and with a excellent bore and chambers. Comes with three half moon clips as necessary in the loading of the cylinder with .45acp.
