Description:
SALE PENDING Sharps “New Model 1863” Carbine. By the serial number, 62483, this is a very early production 1863 carbine. This gun remains a non-converted original percussion model chambered for .52 Sharps. Many of these 1863’s were converted to cartridge model. This carbine has a standard 22” barrel with a very good bore. The gun is excellent mechanically. The stock and forearm fit very well and are in good to very good condition. The barrel and frame have been reblued. There is a “TWR” stamped on the stacking ring hardware and a “W” stamped on the top of the butt plate. All in all this is a nice example of a Civil War Era carbine.
