Description:
This Uberti No.3 Russian Top-Break is a beautifully made gun and remains in unfired & near-mint condition.  Uberti made this revolver as a very accurate copy of the Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Second Model that was produced between 1873 and 1878.  Specifically this Uberti is a copy of the The No.3 Russian Second Model Russian- contract revolver that was manufactured for the Russian government.  There were 70,000 of these made for the Russian government but are very rarely encountered today as the vast majority were shipped to Russia, never to return.  The originals are easily identified by the Russian Cyrillic barrel markings on the top barrel rib.  This Uberti is really a beautiful copy of the revolver, featuring a gloss-blue factory finish, a case-colored hammer, a case-colored action latch, a case-colored spurred triggerguard, and smooth Walnut grips with a rounded profile.  The clean and bright factory finish on this No.3 Russian rates 98 to 99%, with the only deductions coming from a small scratch on the left sideplate and a very faint drag line around the cylinder.  All of the factory stampings are crisp and clear, including the Cyrillic markings on top of the barrel copied from the original.  The gun appears to be unfired since leaving the factory, with no evidence whatsoever on the cylinder, cylinder face, bore, forcing cone, recoil shield, or frame of ever having been fired.  The bore in the 6.5" inch barrel is minty and mirror-bright, with perfect rifling and no visible imperfections.  The original factory case colors on the hammer, action latch, and triggerguard rate 99% with no visible wear, and bright, vibrant colors are still showing on all three parts.  The factory smooth Walnut grips are also in excellent condition, free from any visible wear, cracks, chips, dings, dents, or repairs.  Both grip panels are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame with no wiggle.  The single-action operation of this Uberti is both extremely smooth and perfectly "in time".  At full-lock the cylinder locks up perfectly tight with zero felt wiggle or slop.  The trigger on this No.3 Russian is good, breaking with a medium pull without any excessive travel or slop.  All of the controls on this gun are in perfect working order including the cylinder's auto-ejector, and we have no doubt that it will function just as reliably and accurately as the day it first left the factory.  Priced at $725, this Uberti is an excellent deal for a gun that sells for over $1100 when new.
