Description:
Marlin 1893 lever action rifle. Chambered in 30-30. 26" Octagonal Barrel with full lenth magazine tube. Serial #246480 made in 1902. This rifle appears to be in original condition with factory octagon barrel in blue and case hardened receiver. Crescent butt plate. Color case remnants still present on reciever, lever, upper/lower tang and hammer. Some pitting noted on left side of receiver. Some light pitting present on barrel mostly on left side. Front sight has ivory bead. Stock finish is in good condition and wood is proud to metal. Barrel stamped "Special Smokeless Steel". Top of receiver stamped "Marlin Safety". Some light frosting noted in bore with good rifeling. A nice example of early 1900 Marlin in original condition.
