Description:
Extremely rare gun Parker Bros. "Folsom Trap" gun made specifically for H.D. Folsom in the 1880's. These rare guns have a special buttplate with the rare "Flying bird" and are marked "The Parker Trap Gun"

This rare gun with 30" laminated steel barrels. Made with double triggers, splinter forend, capped pistol grip buttstock and rare original buttplate. The gun has original 2-5/8" chambers.

The gun weighs 7lbs 15oz on my scale. Stock dimensions are 14-1/4" over the rare original buttplate. Drops of 1-5/8" at the comb and 2-1/2" at the heel. Bores measure .754 in both barrels with .012 (Imp. Cyl) in the right and ,018(Mod) in the left. Min. wall thickness on this one is .029(rt) and .032(left) on this old gal.

This gun has been masterfully restored from stem to stern by Bachelder master gunmakers. The action is tight, checkering is crisp, and restored case colors are bold and vivid at 99.99% throughout. Mechanics are crisp. There is some pitting in the bores, and given the wall thickness, those could be cleaned up a few thousandths and it would not hurt the gun at all.

Knowledgeable collectors report less than 6 of these rare guns known. At the time of the writing of the "Parker Story" the authors could not source one of these guns. Personally, I have seen 3 of these guns and have never owned another one. This is an exceedingly rare and interesting piece of the Parker Gun story and the only time Parker Bros ever made a special item for another retailer that I know of.

This gun is value priced at $2495 shipped. It is antique and can be shipped directly to your door. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or reasonable offers on this rare gun. I can be reached at (704) 280-2382 or via PM on this site.
