Description:
This is a spectacular all-original early-production Ruger Blackhawk revolver.  This very collectible "Flat Top" Blackhawk was shipped in 1958 and features a gloss-blue factory finish, a 6.5" inch barrel with a ramped front sight blade, a factory "Micro" adjustable rear sight, and smooth American Walnut grips with silver and black Ruger medallions.  This gun was made in the third year of production, as the Blackhawk was first introduced in 1956.  There were only a total of 25,600 guns made in 1958, and all original specimens like this one are scarce in any condition.  This example is serial number 13352 and it is a beautiful example.  The original factory gloss-blue finish rates 98%, with only some tiny little handling/storage marks as deductions.  The bore in the 6.5" inch barrel is mirror-bright and like-new.  There is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible whatsoever.  The rifling still looks brand-new with sharp lands and grooves throughout the barrel.  The six cylinder bores are equally as clean and pristine.  The original grips are in excellent condition, with both sides free from any cracks, chips, or repairs.  Both sides are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the grip frame with no wiggle.  Both sides also have bright and clean factory Ruger medallions in excellent shape.  The action on the Ruger Blackhawk is super smooth and really has to be felt to truly be appreciated.  These late 1950's production guns were really the pinnacle of production, with silky-smooth hand-fit parts and extreme attention to detail in their construction.  The action is precisely "in time" and locks up tight, and the trigger breaks like a thin glass rod with a light pull.  This Ruger will perform 100% like the day it left the factory over 60 years ago.  If you have been looking for an original "collector grade" Ruger Blackhawk that would certainly be a centerpiece to your collection, this 1958 production .44 Magnum gun would be an excellent choice.
