Boxlocks - Smythe was a well known gunmaker from Darlington. This gun while having seen considerable use is still tight and strong and would make a great entry into finding out about the balance and handiness of the English double.
You may wonder about the dowel in the head of the stock. This was added to strengthen the stock left to right.
