Steven Dodd Hughes / Flli Bertuzzi --- Best Sidelock Ejector --- 20 Guage, 2 3/4" Chambers --- Engraved by Michael Dubber. 27" SxS chopper-lump barrels with flat matted rib and ivory bead front sight choked improved cylinder & modified. 15" pull from mechanical single trigger. 1 1/2" - 2 1/4" drop. 3/8" cast-off. Highly figured California English walnut stocks with Anson-pushbutton-release splinter forend, teardrops, straight English grip, classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders---wrapping completely around the entire wrist---and solid black Old English recoil pad. Sculpted, Turnbull-casehardened, bar-action sidelock with gold-line cocking indicators, automatic ejectors, bushed firing pins with retaining setscrews, manual top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold, and beaded-edge long-tang triggerguard. Classic English rose & scroll engraving by Michael Dubber. Weight: 6lbs, 10oz. Barreled action built 1980. Shotgun completed 1999. In nearly new condition, retaining all of its original finishes, excellent bores, tight, and with strong ejectors in perfect time. Signed with a gold-inlaid SDH touchmark behind the trigger and by Michael Dubber in front. In leather trunk case with cleaning accessories. On the cover of and subject of an article in the ACGG journal, GUNMAKER (copy included). Exhibited at "Three Centuries of Tradition: The Renaissance of Fine Sporting Arms in America" at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Houston Museum of Fine Art 2003/4, and subject of a two-page spread in the book covering the exhibition.
