Description:
Marlin 1897 .22 caliber rifle. Barrel length 24”. Original bore with good strong rifling and not shot out as are most old Marlin .22s. Action works perfectly. Barrel has approximately 90% original blue. The case color on the frame has turned a silvery gray. The stock and forearm have no chips or cracks and shows a nice even smooth original finish. The butt plate looks good too. This is a nice old model 97 Marlin! Perfect for bring in the pot meat a 100 years ago, or even today.
