1932 PRE-WAR SMITH & WESSON .38/44 HEAVY DUTY HAND EJECTOR .38 SPECIAL N FRAME 5" BLUE D.A. REVOLVER. Serial number "39XXX" and all matching (barrel, cylinder, butt). Probably police dept gun as lanyard ring hole drilled in butt behind serial number(under aftermarket N frame Eagle grips in the coke-bottle shaped style). Factory original blue fading at edges from holster wear. Mint bore, rifling and chambers. Cycles perfectly and indexes as it should. Five screw frame with excellent screws. Traces of case colors remaining on hammer(with Patent dates still) and trigger. Look good in a Sam Browne belt. Honest wear and pre War finish with NO refurbishment
