Colt 1860 Army U.S. Marked This is one of the guns that was refurbished after the Civil War. The guns were taken apart, refinished and then reassembled with no attempt to put the guns back together to match. These guns were issued to the buffalo soldiers as cartridge guns were coming in and the buffalo soldiers always received hand me downs. Very nice gun with good history. Trigger guard is marked “US”. This gun still has very good original blue on the barrel. Good case colors remain on the frame. The hammer is a replacement. Grips have been nicely refinished.
